Travel Poster Japan

For this travel poster, I selected Osaka, Japan, as the focus and highlighted several of its most recognizable cultural and visual elements. The composition brings together both modern and traditional symbols to capture the city’s identity and atmosphere.

I included a graphic depiction of Tsutenkaku Tower, paired with the iconic red sun inspired by the Japanese flag, to ground the design in immediately recognizable national imagery. To represent historical and cultural heritage, I added a samurai figure as a nod to the samurai reenactments found in the area. I also incorporated stylized cloud forms inspired by traditional Japanese ink drawings, reinforcing the influence of classical aesthetics and artistic traditions.

Together, these elements create a layered visual interpretation of Osaka that blends history, culture, and symbolism into a cohesive travel poster.
