The Two Headed Calf

For this piece, I created a collage inspired by the poem The Two-Headed Calf. I aimed to capture a whimsical, dreamlike atmosphere while translating the poem’s emotional depth into a visual format.

I incorporated key symbolic elements such as newspaper textures, a small farm setting, and the image of the calf itself. Through layering and composition, I explored the contrast between innocence and melancholy, reflecting the poem’s delicate balance between wonder and impermanence.

The final piece visually interprets the poem’s tone, using collage techniques to merge fragmented materials into a cohesive scene that echoes its themes of fragility, curiosity, and quiet sadness.
