Six Word Memoir
Project type
Illustration
For this six-word memoir, I reflect on my experience of never fully learning how to swim, yet mastering how to float on my back. The phrase works as a metaphor for life—suggesting that even when things are not learned in the “proper” way, we still find ways to stay afloat and move forward.
I integrated the text into the visual design of a swimming pool, allowing the words to appear as if they are part of the water itself. This approach reinforces the connection between language and environment, turning the surface of the pool into both a literal and symbolic space for reflection.
