Paranoia
Project type
Type Manipulation
In this conceptual typography piece, I explored the word “paranoia” by visually transforming its letterforms to reflect its psychological meaning. Both “a” characters are reimagined as shocked eyes, positioned as if they are fixated on the letter “o,” which appears to be disappearing.
This alteration creates a sense of tension and surveillance within the word itself, visually reinforcing themes of unease, suspicion, and hyper-awareness. By manipulating type as image, the piece turns language into a psychological expression, where the structure of the word mirrors its emotional weight.
